Les my dad lived in Windy Nook with his wife Betty, they have 2 children Helen and Ian and 1
granddaughter Sarah.
My dad was taken from us after suffering from cancer, he fought his illness for 18th month with
great strength, and dignity and was an inspiration to us all.
Les my dad was such a wonderful person, we always knew he was there for us helping us in anyway he
could and always giving good advice, even though we didn't want to listen sometimes! we knew he was
always right.
He worked hard all his life making sure our family life was good, he died 6 weeks before his 60th
birthday and retirement. (What a waste, couldn't even enjoy the time off he deserved).
I can't really put into words how i feel about my dad he was just loved so much and i think about
him and miss him every day. Sarah his only grandchild wasn't quite 2 when he died and they have
both missed out on a lot, he adored her so much, he had so many plans for her and the days out they
were going to have was never ending.
I just wish he was still here just so he could see her now and see how wonderful she is, but i know
he'll be with us forever always protecting us.
Dad you are always in our thoughts and hearts we love and miss you so much xxxxxxxxx
THE ROSE BEYOND THE WALL
A rose once grew
Where all could see
Sheltered beside a garden wall
And as the days passed swiftly by
It spread its branches staight and tall
One day,a beam of light
Shone through a crevice
That opened wide
The rose bent gently
Towards its warmth
Then passed beyond
To the other side
Now,you who deeply feel its loss

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for your continued support for me,my family but most of all mary you will never know how much you have helped us
through our darkest days.what makes it so special is that you to are grieving for the loss of your loved one you truly are an angel here on earth.God bless you xxxxx
Alone now and sad with tears in my eyes,
my heart has a huge break deep down inside.
A part of me died the day you went home...
and emptiness entered where love once was shown.
I miss you so much, but after a while,
my friends tell me God will put back my smile.
So I started praying for peace to return
for God to stay near me and help me to mourn.
I'm learning to look back and rejoice in the thought
of our time spent together, of the love that you brought.
Of the memories sweet that are held in times past...
of your smile and your laughter...that to will last...
I sense comfort coming, an angel drawing near
reminding me gently of times I hold dear.
And when I look up to see skies oh so blue
I find myself talking out loud just to you.
My loneliness is gone now; there's a feeling of love,
the comfort from memories as I look up above.
Peace flows in my heart, my tears have been dried,
as at last I realise…you are right here by my side.
